My aim as a teacher is certainly to develop in my students a thorough perception as well as self-assurance at exams and being able to handle unknown cases. My approach is actually based on the opinion that learning takes place in an atmosphere of reciprocal respect in which the student is supported to think and find new connections for themselves. My experience has been that one-to-one individual lesson has a special importance to students through the ability to resolve the students' particular difficulties to study in a way which lays the roots for a long-term and deep comprehension of the topic.
Student’s needs and learning style matter
My approach depends on the student's needs and learning style. My teaching ideology is based on encouraging students to think on their own, employing real-world examples as long as possible. |I believe that it is critical to provide students with a working knowledge and to give them analytical skill-sets for establishing upon this knowledge. Teaching a person to think analytically is at the base of what a learner must intercept from any subject program.
The most important contribution
Coaching scholars is one of the most long-lasting contributions a tutor are able to do, and it is a process, that I find pleasurable and beneficial. From my practice, I learned the value of engaging children by using models and of delivering content at a level that implies intellect and yet not necessarily knowledge, blending the known with the unknown within a combination that provides the student the sensation of probability instead of that one of impossibility that official and impressive approaches can enforce.
My teaching tricks
I start from themes the learners are good with and step progressively to more challenging places seeing that their self-esteem is being developed. I choose questions and examples to monitor understanding constantly. I don't ever lecture to scholars or tell them to remember things. Neither do I carry out the students' investigation for them!
I basically focus on test-style as well as previous paper questions in order to analyse, work at and improve the learner's perception and practice. I will also give a lot of emphasis to many of the not so much evident yet vital skill sets as essay technique and structure, logical thought, and the efficient use of numbers and graphs.
